High & Low Chicago
High & Low Chicago are terms to describe the high &
low spade in the hole. Chicago games are generally
played in 7-Card Stud Games that are not already split
pot game (High/Low). The reason is whoever wins the
Chicago, splits half the pot already.
To play High Chicago, the games are played the same
way. Straight up Stud or with wilds. The High Chicago
winner would be the one with high spade in the hole. If
a player had the Ace of Spades in the hole, that would
automatically win him half the pot.
The same goes for the Low Chicago. If the 2 of Spades
were held in the hole, it would be stupid to fold no
matter what hand is playable.
Hints: Always look at the board to see what spades
are out there. For instance, if you have the Queen of
Spades, and you see the King and Ace are showing, you
have the High Chicago.
